Set in beautiful rolling Nottinghamshire parkland, Thrumpton Hall provides a secluded setting for both intimate and large weddings. From initial viewing, through the planning process and to the end of the wedding day celebrations, the experienced and friendly team at Thrumpton Hall will ensure that every detail of the wedding is planned to perfection and that the wedding couple and their guests enjoy and remember this special occasion for many years to come.

The Ceremony

The Hall has two rooms licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships. The Baronial Hall, with its original wooden panelling and open fireplace, and the Dining Room - its walls adorned with ancestral paintings, with views across the gardens - are both licensed to seat sixty guests. The two rooms are unique in style and offer two very different atmospheres for the Ceremony.

We offer special rates for Civil Ceremony only on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Drinks Reception

After the Civil Ceremony or ceremony at your chosen church, the wedding party and guests are invited to enjoy use of the Hall's reception rooms and magnificent rose garden for drinks and canapes, while the Bride and Groom can enjoy unrestricted use of the gardens and lakeside walks for their photographs.

Intimate Weddings

For weddings where guest numbers do not exceed 46, the wedding breakfast may be served in the Dining Room. For guest numbers of up to 90, a buffet may also be served within the Hall itself.

After the wedding breakfast, guests are welcome to use the reception rooms and gardens for socialising and dancing.

Ultimate Weddings

Between the months of April and December, for weddings where guest numbers exceed 60, celebrate and dine in our spectacular star-lit, Lakeside Pavilion. Built to the very highest specification, wedding guests will be amazed at the glamour and romance of the Pavilion.

The Pavilion's decking area, overlooking the croquet lawn, provides a beautiful setting where guests may relax in the fresh air, and enjoy views of the enchanting lake and the nature surrounding it.

Enjoy glorious views of the Hall and lake whilst your wedding breakfast is served, and as the daylight gives way to night, the trees, pathways and the Hall are beautifully lit to create a magical outside atmosphere. Within the Pavilion, as the evening celebrations step up, a stunning starlit dancefloor is revealed, equipped with impressive lighting. The sensational catering at Thrumpton Hall is provided by a variety of experienced and talented caterers who offer different styles of food guaranteed to suit all tastes and budgets. With an extensive wine, drinks and cocktail menu, our professional and stylish bar team will ensure that the party and the drinks keep flowing throughout the day and into the evening.
