The Thrumpton team take a special pride in the Winter Weddings which are held at the Hall. In the dark months of winter, what could be lovelier than to arrive to the blaze of light and the glow of old-fashioned log fires at a beautiful family house that is famed for its combination of elegance and hospitality? No wonder that the winter months are among our most popular events.

Winter weddings take place in the spacious intimacy of the Hall itself. The bridal family may wish to stay overnight in our beautiful and well-appointed rooms, including two with magnificent four-poster beds. Breakfast can be in your rooms or a heartier meal is offered in the Tudor splendour of the spectacular Great Kitchen. The bride may like to spend the morning preparing for the big day, before sweeping down the celebrated carved staircase to a service held in the firelit Hall. Later, the couple and their guests can relax in the warmth of a booklined library and gracious drawing room before dancing the night away in the Baronial Hall.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to Thrumpton Hall
